Beyond Monkeys
Beyond Monkeys is a new project I am thinking about doing. Transhumanism is something that is truly dear to my heart. Not much time right now with work and school and work. And moving. But we'll see. Hopefully I'll make time for it.

This is the awesome home-made submarine in the Juneau dock. Gabe and I were trying to figure out how it was propelled, cause it doesn't look like the outboard is fitted with a snorkel. The outboard must be sealed and there could be a electric motor that cannot be seen from above. Very intriguing though.

Posting this from on Gabe's sail boat out in the channel south of Funter bay. Had a great day sailing. So beautiful. I want my Pirate Circus!

I am in Funter Bay near Juneau. It is so beautiful here. It reminds me a lot of the years I lived in Cordova as a child. I'm remembering how much I loved the woods around there and the smell of the ocean and sitting in a boat rocking on the waves. We went on a hike yesterday up the mountain and found some abandoned mines and some equipment. Then we went out sailing on Gabe's boat and cooked dinner out on the ocean. It was great.

The infamous "Wall of Sheep" lists people's usernames and passwords that were sent across the wireless network in an unencrypted protocol ("out in the open, as secure as passing a postcard down a line of everyone in the room"). The most common was http, then pop. There were also a lot of bluesnarfed pins.

This was one of the presenters at Defcon. Hard to see in this pic, but that's a girl. And she was talking about 4th generation stealth rootkits and how they work with the x86 memory archtecture. Hot.
